A True Breakfast of Champions
I love no food combo more than peanut butter and chocolate. The way the two flavors combine creates a whole new, incredible flavor. When I was younger, I was always jealous of the kids who got to eat Reese’s Puffs cereal for breakfast, but now I have this recipe, which is 1000 times healthier (and tastier–Reese’s Puffs aren’t really even that good).
Salted peanut butter and chocolate oats. Delicious and rich enough to be a dessert, but healthy and satiating enough to be a breakfast! I’ve seen versions of this recipe on many blogs, but I think I originally got it from Chelsey’s recipe here.
Salted Peanut Butter and Chocolate Oats
Serves 1. Vegan, gluten free
- 1/2 c rolled oats (gf if needed)
- 1/2 c nondairy milk
- 1/2 c water (or more milk if you prefer)
- 1- 2 T natural peanut butter
- 1 T unsweetened cocoa powder
- dash of salt (to bring out sweetness)
- sweetener to taste
Best. Breakfast. Ever.
The photos can’t even begin to do it justice. Sigh.
Question: what’s your favorite breakfast?
